Walking Tours Through the Desert - Hiking

The alluring desert. The vastness of the wadis alternating with dark ravines. Table mountains and bizarre rock landscapes, dunes, very fine red sand and stones. To discover the desert:

· Short trips near the village
· Climbing tours through the Jebel Um Ishrin (expierenced climbers only)
· One-day trips (eventually transport to the starting point by jeep)
· Tour for several days with one ore more night's lodges in the desert

The desert is alive. The spoors of small and large animals, of human beings. No contradiction: trails of tyres and fire places; modern plastics, bones of perished animals, shards of ancient cultures. The wind brings everything to light. The sand and the dust recover it. Delicate green colours and blossoms on droughty brushwood after a rainfall. Flowers in the sand.
