Riding the Camel Riding on a camel, softly swinging, in an unfamiliar height. To be carried through the desert, on the back of a camel, safely guided by a Bedouin. A very special adventure:
For 5,000 years camels have been carrying human beings as well as goods through the deserts. Now they take tourists to remote corners of the Wadi Rum Desert. And they are as reliable and arduous as they used to be. Even in blistering heat they get by without drinking for three days, and they feed upon the few eatable grasses and plants existing in the desert. |
